My own Place

Journal Entry: Sat May 30, 2009, 12:37 AM
Hey Fellas and Fellesses,

i'm pretty excited. I spent the last few weeks working my ass off for my projects at uni, which are now coming together pretty nicely. i still have a lot to do for them in the coming 6 weeks i have left until i have to hand them in, but i feel i can manage it in time.

I've been looking for a place to do work placement in the design industry for my 5th semester which will begin in september. and it looks like i'll get a place with an company that's currently redesigning a football stadium. Not meaning they are painting the walls but designing new guidance systems, semiotics, webpage and video content.

I've been working for my job. Mostly i'm doing colorations, which can be quite fun as well as pretty boring at times. but work is work right? Anyway for the first time i'm in a place where i can afford my own small place. So today i'll be moving to Cologne. I spent the whole day at IKEA yesterday and bought some good stuff. The theme will be silver and black with red accents ^^. i'll probably post a picture once it's all built up and i have internet. this is pretty awesome. i'm gonna get 24mbit/s. right now i'm on 18 and thought i would have to settle for 2, because everything else would be too expensive, but i found a provider who has a fiber glass network which makes it much cheaper. So yeah, i don't know what connections you have in your country, but right now 100mbit is as good as it gets in germany and with 24 i'm set up pretty good. the downside of all of this is, that my internet isn't installed yet so you won't see me around a lot here. i'll have a connection at uni and a friends place who lives close by, but you won't see me fully online for the next 2-3 weeks.

anyway gotta get to packing my stuff together now. aiming to leave in 6 hours.

- Greg

PS: yes i'm still working on spaceart, infact i recently finished one of my most important pictures to date. more on that later. I also have two or three others that i'm not quite happy to submit yet, but i'm still doing the thing, even if it takes me a little longer due to a busy scedule.

The featured artist this time is *dylanxedge

He is a space-artist who has improved very much through time, which is enough reason to mention him here. just look at these following pictures and compare them to the older stuff in his gallery and you'll see he's moving at least one level higher now.

Wow, your so lucky over in Germany. Here in Australia, the fastest internet we have is 30mbps i think. But were getting a new fiber optic in the next 8 years or so. Anyway, have fun with your own place. Id like to see some photos :D

Sounds great, always fun with movin 'n stuff, meeting new people and whatnot.

I'm on 100/100 here in my flat, that's kinda over the top but it sure as hell is fast hehe.

Good luck with the work there. I'm eager to see that piece of your later also!
