I drank some Juice...

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 25, 2008, 4:16 AM
Okay I did actually get some time, so my newest piece of work is up for viewing now...

I must apologize,

in my last journal i said that my next piece of work is nearing completion. Which is true. I also said that i'd soon be done with it. Which was not true.

The reason is, that i haven't really got any sparetime for artwork at the moment, as 8 of my Uni Projects are due to be handed in in 2 weeks time. So I'm currently spending all my time getting the priority work done. I must say I am really itching to open up my GFX folder, but for the time being i have to stay disciplined. Anyway it will all be over in 17 days, as far as I am not confusing dates, and then it's 2 and a half months of summer break for me, in which i shall satisfy my urge for creating something new.

I just browsed through some of the newest spaceart and there is some truely impressive stuff up. Call me a popularity whore, but that really pushes me to also want to create something new and interesting.
So like i said, there are two allready existing pieces I plan to complete. One of them was actually planned for the last ~Space-Artists pack, but I have been jumping through about 10 possible "final" stages of the image already, without coming to a satisfactory result. I may well submit multiple versions in the end, but i'm not too sure about that yet.

Apart from that I have a lot more planned. I'm currently trying to teach myself a little 3d modelling in C4d, and have learned a little about boolish operations. Don't expect anything brilliant very soon though. I dare say it'll take me some time to get to the level that provides submitable results. I also want to try and do some new textures and am thinking about getting a tablet (like i haven't thought about that before).

Long story short: i am not dead and will be back soon.

I found it very pleasing to find that my page is still being visited, when i haven't submitted anything in a while, so i must thank everybody for taking interest. Thank you.

Btw the Luminarium have submitted a new art-pack, including some very impressive work (space-art as well as other), be sure to take a look at [link]

I have decided to post an Artist Feature once in a while. Nothing regularly, just when i feel like it.

The Featured Artist is

:iconkaioshen:

His work has proven very interesting to me and he gets far too little attention. He puts a lot of detail in his pieces and has a unique sense for subtle lighting and colors. You can feel that very specific mood transported by his artwork. It reminds me a little of lying under the blanket as a kid...

Quality Artwork there, so go give him a watch/fav/comment :)

Same here man. I've got so many things i have to do (prepare for college, fill out scholarships, write essays, etc.) that I can barely finish my work as well. But I have faith that you'll be able to finish and complete what you need when you need to. At least your work is known around here. Mine is still floating on a thin line. But I digress...keep up the good work and don't let life get you down.

Hmm........I got nothin'.
:iconpriteeboy:
Nothing is worse than not being able to use Photoshop for your OWN stuff :cries: But it will good for both you, and your watchers when the time comes for you to start making more space art :D and I too have noticed a slight increase in the overall standard of new space artists here, maybe because there are more tutoraials and more inspirational art these days to feed the mind sof new talent than there wa sa few years ago :)

Oh, I'm not pro at C4D, but I might be able to help out in some situations too if you need it :handshake:
