next one up! If you do not recognise the planets i have failed in my attempt...

I know that distance and the size are not accurate, but if they where mars an juppiter would be much too small, or most lightly not even visible.
The textures however are supposed to look as real as possible. I scaled the image down to 80% of the original size, so you only have to scroll down and not sideways as well (for 1280*1024 resolution)

full size is a must !!!

comments and fav's as critique are hihgly appreciated...

Good job on the textures. The perspective works even though it is not at the right scale.

Think the Jupterīs atmosphere wouldnīt show in this distance. O know the distance is not in scale, but as the planet size is so small, I imagine it could more realistic without the glow!

Great job indeed! Itīs already on my :+fav: list!

I'm just wondering if Venus is not a closer neighbour than Jupiter.... But it's only to make a stupid comment =p

cant you just get the planets texture maps off the internet? so you havent really done much apart from turn the textures that you got off the nternet into planets?

Looks great... someone pointed out composition... I think if u added a bit more of a curve, so there wasnt so much dead space, it would appear a little more professional lookin.
Luv the jupiter...
Maybe u should flip em around, so the least interesting moon and earth are in the back and the other two at the front ??

not to get picky, but the haze or blur around each planet is the same color and the same size... id think it would appear smaller as the planets get further away and the color of the planet may impact the color of the blur/haze...

After all that I think its a great piece :) off to ure gallery.

Thanks for the compliment as well as the critique!
But what do you mean with the empty space. as i understand it there would be just as much of that if the planets where at a different point on the picture.
And in my defence. I'm pretty sure that the haze around a planet appears bigger in proportion to the rest of the planet when viewed from a further distance. thats why the haze is the same size even though the specific planet is further away. and with the haze allways being yellow, i do understand what you mean, but this time i decided to give it the color of the sun light (yellow oO). Othertimes i might colorize the atmosphere according to the planet surface, i just sometimes go one or the other way. Guess it's just a matter of taste when it comes to that...

Anyway i shall remember what you said, and thx again for the comment...
