Well it took me longer than i had hoped, but i think the extra work was worth it. Everything i started off with in this picture has been erased within the process of making it. So if i would show you the very first scetch version you wouldn't recognize it for sure . You are viewing it at 100% of the original resolution. The worst struggle was to create an interesting and original starfield. Anyway i hope you like the result. I'm pretty satisfied with it (more than my last two spacearts)...
Don't even ask me how many layers, hours or sessions this took.
Comments please! 's and 's are treasured
Okay i'm Off to work on my next Piece... greetz go out to all good space artists, people who visit me on DA and to the all mighty Pizza with chicken breast and peperoni! Sry no pie...
Hi, I just wanted to drop a comm line letting you know that I've used this image in an old 3D render I did a while back on my old computer, I really like your work, here's the link: [link]
The PC I had at the time couldn't really render stuff in 3d like shadows and lights and all that so I mostly had to use backgrounds that were already made and blend super simple scenes into them, and because of hardware failure I don't have the source file of the ship model to render it again on my new machine so this is all I have left of it, that's why I kept it in the first place. So if it bothers you just let me know and I will remove it immediately, no questions asked !
Your work is quite inspiring man. I love the overall calm and "once in a life time" feel to it. Great piece and awesome execution. I have some skill in space art, but nothing compared to you yet. Keep up the great work!
Can you suggest any specific tutorials? I also started doing this kind of artwork as I feel this is what I really like. Thanks in advance, good work. I'm using a tablet and CS2
