glad you like it. thx for the critique too. the one from the journal preview is actually the one in the calendar. with the artwork version i couldn't really decide. any reason you prefer the other version?

Well, it has more of a horizontal element, which I think is always key with landscape work. Literally, that exact crop from your journal has great power when it comes to light, due to the illusion of the light from the sky leading your eye from foreground to background.

Love the perspective. The coloring's great, and those three bright stars in the sky draw the eye somehow. It's beautiful.

hm i guess there's some truth in that. maybe i get a little out of hand with the tilted horizons sometimes. I just like testing out perspectives people won't recognize as natural... but that can become a bad habit at some point.
