I seem to keep coming back to spaceart. Been working on my new website lately and just had to get away from coding for a few hours. This has been in the making for longer than that, but finally got down to finishing it. Most of the work today was on the ring and the area underneath the planet. The formations near the sun have been there almost since the beginning.
Since i started studying and then working in design i have picked up a different set of creative skills and i feel it has taken me some time to balance between the two different approaches. I admit there was some internal conflict to wether i should or even wanted to keep going with this. You live and you find new things that draw you in. In the end i don't consciously choose to do spaceart, it is just something i find myself doing. I think because i know how it works and it offers me a form of creative expression that is very different from what i do on a day to day basis (and love doing).
People who follow all my submissions have noticed that i don't upload that frequently anymore, so the above is an attempt at an explanation for that. I do think my work has gotten better over time though, so it's quality over quantity...
Original size is over 5000pixels wide, in order to get enough detail in there.
Hope you like it! Glad to get a submission in at the beginning of 2012
-- Thx for the DD
EDIT: Added now as a Wallpaper-Package and deleted the border around the image. Should cover all resolutions including iphone.
