Nice; great atmosphere to the piece with that twilight like sun, has a unique feeling as you've made the scene reflect it very well, kind of like a midnight sun, the colour scheme suits it too. ;p Some clouds in front of the actual terrain, not sure if that's on purpose or not, looks interesting but also a little challenging perspective wise since i cant see any clouds further in the distance from these.

thx man. glad you like. yes the clouds in the background are actually supposed to be in front of the terrain. As i didn't feel capable to also put some in front of the terrain in the foreground i didn't X-). well i did try but i still have to work on that one.
in my defense: the clouds in the foreground are not all that necessary because the terrain in the background looks like it's a little deeper than in the foreground (can't remember if it really is deeper down though O_o)...

anyway as soon as terragen2 is on the market i hope to be able to do more stuff with clouds... but i'm also working on it in ps...

Awesome work, I love how the nebula is surrounding the planet :).
I agree with the clouds though, they need some work but nonetheless :+fav:.

This is nice; you've kepy the space relatively uncluttered. The clouds do need work, and I wouldv'e removed some of the planets/moons but overall a nice feel (likely maintained through the rather nicely bright reflections on the terrain.)

at first thx for the comment. glad to see that also the lighting master approves of my work *sucking up* ;). What would you do about the clouds? I tried to let them reflect the moonlight but that didn't really work so i didn't do it after all. Other than that i think the're not all too bad. Anyway i am eager to learn so if you have some tips on clouds i'd like to hear them.

Well, generally they are TOO dark if I had to sum it up simply. They need toning down, say just the opacity. Also it would probably help to tone down the opacity the further away the clouds are, in other words the clouds further away need to be more see through. This would help with depth.

Still, fixing that or not, this piece is ALOT better than your previous efforts. You have stepped up a levle it seems.
[link] just take a look at that and compare, whereas that piece is cluttered and doesnt show that much attention to artistic conventions, this piece has a greater sense of balance and composition. You have kept it simple, which is generally a better way to go - just stick with the one light source and its easier to get other aspects of Terraspace right. Well I could keep talking, but the best idea is for you to view your pieces and recognise where they differ yourself.

Good luck.

This.
Is.
AWESOME.

The kind of shimmering green/blue/orange sky is a nice effect. I'm really not sure what elase to say. It's all put together very well. I honestly think though that the landscape is the weak point here. It looks a little... random, plus I can see where it ends. :) hehe.
