Mhh what could I say to this one? This is my first Deviation since I lost 100% of my data on my computer, because my hard disk broke. So I guess this is a cind of rebirth . I think this is one of the best artworks I have ever done. Maybe even the best.
Well as you can see I have tried to brush something in this one. i don't know if it worked out right, because i usually suck at brushing. See for your self.
Comparing it with what I usually do, this shows a quite interesting scene and I think thats what makes it special to me (^^)
I have also tried to improve my work in terragen. And i believe it worked out. I know it is not pro, but it's better than in my last pic where i used terragen. (When Days are longer)
[ The Pic is not supposed to look realistic. The great thing about space is that no one knows what is out there, so it leaves a lot to the imagination ]

Layers: 250+ (merged a lot so i don't know exactly)
psd size: 105mb
time taken: dunno. maybe about 12 hours...

That's some nice artwork there, too. Day'um. Your reply to my diary was just the kick in the pants I needed to do some photoshopping myself, so presently I'm taking a small break. You know what it's like staring at the same scene for an hour or so... when you close your eyes it's all you see.
This is beautiful. Very nice lightening effect and I see nothing wrong with your brushing. I like the text effect you have, too. It suits it, I think; and yes, your Terragen work is improving. (not that it was too shabby to begin with)
Very nice ideas here, only thing wrong is the realism, get that right and your smoking, you have the talent its just getting it right .. I will see you around.
Normally I'd say that the "big thing hit planet go boom" concept is just too overdone to be interesting, but I like your take on it. One thing I would suggest is the adding of horizon haze so as to partially obscure the base of the planet to make it more realistic.

Nice work ! The only thing I can crit is the light source. Hitting landscape from left and planet from right. But it is possbile to have two suns in one system... Nice work textures...
